PASTORAL CARE IN VIENNA – PERSONAL CONVERSATION, PRAYER & HOPE
A listening ear when life becomes difficult
There are seasons in life when carrying everything alone becomes too much. Worry, loneliness, family conflict, grief, fear about the future or questions about faith can weigh heavily on a person.
At Beit Or Ha'Chaim in Vienna, we offer personal and confidential pastoral care, prayer and spiritual guidance for people who are looking for someone to talk to. Our aim is not to judge quickly or offer simplistic answers. We want to listen, seek direction together and turn toward the hope that Scripture and Yeshua the Messiah offer.
Our faith is rooted in the God of Israel, the Torah, the Prophets, the Psalms and the testimony concerning Yeshua. For us, Yeshua is not merely a religious figure from the past. His words, his compassion and the way he treated people who were hurting, exhausted or excluded continue to shape our understanding of pastoral care today.
YESHUA MEETS PEOPLE WITH COMPASSION
The Gospels repeatedly show Yeshua among people who were searching for help, hope or direction.
He met those who were grieving, sick, excluded, searching, burdened by guilt or facing personal crises. He did not reduce people to their difficulties. He saw the person behind the struggle.
That is the attitude we want to reflect in our pastoral care in Vienna.
Every person comes with a unique story. Some are searching for God. Some have lost confidence in their faith or are struggling with doubt. Others have believed for many years and still find themselves going through a difficult season.
You do not need to arrive with perfect answers.
You may ask questions.
You may speak honestly about doubt.
And sometimes, you may simply need someone who is willing to listen.
PASTORAL CARE FROM A BIBLICAL AND MESSIANIC PERSPECTIVE
For us, biblical pastoral care does not mean reading a few Bible verses to someone and treating the problem as solved.
The Torah and the whole of Scripture teach the importance of mercy, responsibility for one another and the dignity of every human being. The Psalms speak openly about fear, loneliness, despair and hope. The Prophets repeatedly remind us of God's faithfulness and His nearness to those in need.
In Yeshua (Jesus), the Messiah, we see this biblical attitude expressed with particular clarity. He calls people back to God, offers hope and meets them with extraordinary compassion.
For this reason, our pastoral care brings together listening, prayer, Scripture, faith and personal spiritual support.
WHEN YOU ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO TALK TO
Perhaps you are not yet sure what you need.
Maybe you simply want to tell someone what is happening in your life.
A personal conversation can create space to organise your thoughts and speak openly about things you may have carried alone for a long time.
People seek pastoral care for many different reasons: loneliness, family problems, grief, anxiety about the future, conflict, difficult decisions, questions about the meaning of life or a desire to find God.
Our conversations are confidential and are intended to offer a respectful and protected space where your questions, experiences and story are taken seriously.
If you are searching for someone to talk to in Vienna, personal spiritual support or confidential pastoral care, you are welcome to contact us.
PRAYER IN THE NAME OF YESHUA
If you would like, we can pray together with you.
For us, prayer means bringing our concerns before the God of Israel and trusting Him for help, wisdom and direction.
We believe in Yeshua as the promised Messiah and believe that his words continue to offer hope and spiritual orientation today.
Perhaps you have not prayed for many years.
Perhaps you do not know how to pray at all.
That is not an obstacle.
An honest prayer does not require special language. Sometimes prayer begins simply by telling God what is truly in your heart.
QUESTIONS OF FAITH & SPIRITUAL DIRECTION
Pastoral care is not only for times of crisis.
Some people come to us because they have begun thinking more deeply about God for the first time. Others wonder whether the faith tradition they have followed until now still reflects what they truly believe. Still others want to understand who Yeshua really was, why his Jewish identity matters and how the Jewish roots of his life and teaching shape the way we read the Bible.
At Beit Or Ha'Chaim, these questions are welcome.
We explore the Bible, Torah, the Jewish background of Scripture and Yeshua as Messiah, and we gladly make time for people who want to discover faith for the first time or deepen the faith they already have.
Questions are not a problem to be avoided. They can become the beginning of a deeper search for truth, faith and a more serious understanding of Scripture.
