PRAYER & INTERCESSION

Your concerns can be brought before God

There are times when a person no longer knows what to pray. Perhaps you are concerned about your health, your family, a difficult decision, someone you love, or a situation that has been weighing on you for a long time. Perhaps you simply want to know that someone knows your name and is willing to stand with you before God.

At Beit Or Ha'Chaim in Vienna, we believe that prayer is far more than a religious habit. Prayer is relationship, trust and a deliberate turning toward the God of Israel. The Torah, the Psalms and the Prophets show people bringing not only their joy, but also their fear, pain, questions and hope before Hashem.

No concern is too small to be spoken, and no one needs perfect words in order to pray.

Yeshua the Messiah taught his disciples to pray and, even in difficult moments, to continue trusting the Father. His life shows us that prayer belongs together with compassion, mercy and genuine care for people. For this reason, we do not only want to speak about prayer — we want to stand with people in prayer.

INTERCESSION – STANDING BEFORE GOD FOR ONE ANOTHER

Intercession means praying not only for our own needs, but also bringing the concerns and burdens of others before God.

Throughout Scripture, we repeatedly encounter people praying for their families, their people, their friends and those who are suffering.

If you wish, you can entrust us with your prayer request. Perhaps you are looking for prayer for illness, prayer for your family, prayer during a personal crisis, or simply people who will pray for you.

Many people today search online for a place to submit a prayer request or for someone who will pray with them. At Beit Or Ha'Chaim, we want to receive such requests with respect, confidentiality and genuine care.

Behind every message is a real person with a unique story — and that is how we want to treat every request.

PRAYER IN TIMES OF ILLNESS & WEAKNESS

Illness can affect more than the body. It can also place pressure on our thoughts, relationships and faith.

Some people pray for healing. Others pray for strength, peace, wisdom or simply the ability to endure a difficult season.

We believe that such needs can be brought before God. At the same time, we do not want to make false promises.

Prayer does not replace medical care or professional treatment. It can, however, become a place where fear, hope, gratitude and need are brought honestly before God.

If you are searching for prayer during illness or for someone to pray for you or a loved one, you are welcome to contact us.

We want to pray with you without pressure and without telling you what your faith must look like during a difficult season.

PRAYER FOR ANXIETY, WORRY & DIFFICULT DECISIONS

Sometimes it is not one major crisis, but the accumulation of many concerns that becomes exhausting.

Uncertainty about the future, financial pressure, family conflict, difficult decisions or inner restlessness can remain in the heart for a long time.

The Psalms show us that prayer does not mean hiding our worries. Quite the opposite: they are spoken honestly and brought before God.

In our Messianic faith, we trust in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, who knows and hears His people.

Yeshua reminded his disciples not to allow their worries to become the centre of their entire lives, but to place their trust in the heavenly Father.

This does not mean that every problem disappears immediately. It means that a person does not have to carry every burden entirely alone.

PRAYER FOR FAMILY, CHILDREN & RELATIONSHIPS

Many prayer requests concern the people closest to us.

Parents worry about their children. Couples go through difficult seasons. Families experience illness, conflict, distance or uncertainty. Sometimes there is very little we can change directly, yet we still want to do something.

Prayer can become an expression of love, responsibility and trust.

We are glad to pray with people for their family, children, marriage, relationships and personal circumstances.

Our aim is not to force our own solutions upon God, but to ask for wisdom, peace, protection and guidance.

WHEN YOU CANNOT FIND THE WORDS

Not everyone knows how to pray.

Some people have not prayed for years. Others remember prayers from childhood but no longer know how to speak to God today.

That is not an obstacle.

The Bible shows many different forms of prayer: thanksgiving, praise, petition, lament, intercession and even quiet waiting before God.

An honest prayer does not need to be long.

Sometimes it begins with only a few words:

“God, You know what is in my heart. Help me.”

Prayer does not depend on beautiful language. It begins with honesty.

PRAYER FROM A MESSIANIC JEWISH PERSPECTIVE

At Beit Or Ha'Chaim, prayer is deeply connected with the Jewish roots of biblical faith.

The Torah teaches reverence for the one God of Israel. The Psalms give us language for joy, grief, gratitude and hope. The Prophets repeatedly call people to repentance, faithfulness and trust in Hashem.

As a Messianic Jewish community, we also believe in Yeshua as the Messiah.

In his life and teaching, we see a deep connection between prayer, compassion, trust in God and responsibility for one another.

For this reason, intercession is a natural part of our life of faith.

We pray for individuals, families, Israel, the city of Vienna, and people who are searching for hope during difficult seasons of life.
